Introduction

How does context change the image in urban art?  You are to explore the world of urban expressionism.  What constitutes vandalism?  What constitutes art?  At the end of your exploration, you will have the chance to speak out about something that the world should know through your artwork. Going along the ideas of urban expressionism, imagine that you will redesign an actual space in your community.  What space would it be?  How would you change it to make it more appealing?  Would it be controversial?  Using text, you will create a new image that gets your message across.
